Yep! I found this picture from a while back but it just about gives the perfect description of my day yesterday. Lose the hat. Put me on a different shirt. Take us inside, and it is just about the exact same thing I was up to yesterday…Playing with these two rug-rats!
I went over to see [...]

Rob, my mechanical friend from across town, rode his bike over yesterday bringing his lovely wife with him to visit us here in Woodstock. The ride was about 54 miles and took him a little over an hour to get here from Gainesville. He also brought with him a little TimeSert insertion “kit” that he [...]

Got outside yesterday in the beautiful warm weather and washed the bike down good in preparation for Rob to come install a TimeSert thread replacement into a stripped hole I did a few weeks ago. He’s coming tomorrow afternoon.
The other item on the menu was to reinstall my muffler with a new round clamp I [...]

Yep! We knew it was going to happen any day. Marvin Finch passed on and left his brother Melvin to sing alone.
About 7 or 8 years ago we had one little finch who survived an attack by a pregnant cat who was very hungry. Marvin was the only one left out of a cage of [...]

I have sadly been remiss in my posting duties here at Slablog. I actually was waiting on a riding buddy to post his pictures from our stormy overnight ride last weekend before I wrote an entry here. I guess he’s taking his sweet time getting those up. I can’t complain. I’m the doofus who forgot [...]

Not long ago he posted this photo of his new book jacket [...]

I found this little tidbit at OffRoadSkills.com.
Dan Doing Off Road.
But this was back in July! Dan! Where are ya buddy! Shoot us a line or two just to let us know you’re alive.
A quick Wikipedia search reveals Dan Walsh the painter…born 1960. I don’t think that’s our Dan.

WooHoo! Things are almost all back together. This morning I started cleaning up the den and took the bike back to the garage.
We can now watch movies again without having to look over the bike.:-)
I need to run to the gas station and get a can full of gas to fill up the tank, then [...]

I finally got the new metal fuel line quick disconnects today from Omega.com
They also enclosed a free pack of playing cards featuring images of all the parts they sell. What a variety!
These QDs will replace aging plastic ones on the bike so I can now continue to remove the fuel tank at my leisure without [...]

Otay! Monday! First day back to work after a sickly 3 day weekend. It wasn’t too bad. I felt pretty good all day actually.
I have to tell you the bike is starting to look real again. I managed to clean my rear wheel and tire and get it bolted back on the bike yesterday. It [...]
